We are midway through our football season and things are getting intense for our home teams (both NFL and college). Game Day’s are always a bit busy for us, so I decided to create an easy and delicious recipe perfect for any game day get together!
Sliders are a great make and take tailgating snack and so easy to make. I wanted to create a slider melt that was obey gooey tangy crispy deliciousness and that is exactly what I did. These turned out amazing and I am so glad that I bought enough to make more on Sunday because we ate the entire pan of these the other evening.
To make these delectable slider melts, I first baked the Foster Farms Honey BBQ Wings according to the directions on the bag. I also baked the bacon at the same time. Both came out perfectly cooked and smelling fantastic.
Next, I prepped my sliders. First I stripped the meat off the wings. Then I cut the rolls in half and placed the bottom half in a baking dish.
Next I layered the Foster Farms Honey BBQ Wing meat on top of the buns in the baking dish. It was the perfect amount of meat and the Honey BBQ flavoring was smokey with a sweet and tangy flavor. My family went crazy for these.
I then layered on the crispy bacon. This added just the right amount of crunch to these sliders and went great with the sweet flavor from the Honey BBQ wings.
I then layered the cheese slices on and placed the top half of the buns on top of the cheese.
I put these in the oven at 375º for about 10 minutes which was just enough to melt the cheese into melty mouthwatering deliciousness and also put a good crispy to the top bun. Then I cut them into individual sliders and served with our favorite BBQ chips!
I was nervous that this would be too much work, but from start to finish (with baking times for everything included) it was about 45 minutes which really isn’t terrible considering the wings take 30 minutes themselves. The flavor was fantastic and I am bummed that we didn’t have any leftovers to enjoy the following days. My kids and husband and I ate the heck out of these, however, I did grab more ingredients so I cannot wait for game day to make some more and gobble these babies right up!
These are great for any tailgating party you have coming up just for dinner in general. Also do not forget that Foster Farms is still running a great sweepstakes with a simple entry.
