The Secret Life of Pets 2–OUT NOW
We were so excited to see The Secret Life of Pets 2 in theaters a few months ago. It was super funny and I knew the minute that we left the theater that we would be bringing home the DVD as soon as we could get our hands on it. The Secret Life of Pets 2 Blu-Ray combo pack is OUT NOW and features 2 mini movies and over 75 minutes of bonus footage!
We have been watching this pretty much daily for a week and of course in true Funk family fashion, we had a movie viewing night to kick off our ownership! My family are sweets fanatics and since The Secret Life of Pets features a lot of our canine friends, I decided to whip up some really simple puppy chow brownies!
Puppy Chow Brownies
Yeah, they are as good as they sound. Peanut butter, chocolate, fudge, powdered sugar and just pure sweet happiness. I kept this recipe super simple, so simple that it took me all of 2 minutes to actually assemble this photo below.
First I baked a basic box of fudge brownie mix. Nothing difficult over here, this mama is back to teaching. I then grabbed some ready made puppy chow and sprinkled it on top of my cooled brownies.
From there I drizzled some chocolate syrup and sprinkled a bit more powdered sugar on . For a little color you can add some sprinkles too.
That is it. When I said simple, I meant it. However, the flavor was incredible. Everything meshed so well and although it was definitely a SWEET treat, it went perfectly with our Secret Life of Pets 2 family movie night.

Puppy Chow Brownies
This easy puppy chow brownie recipe is sure to delight anyone who is a puppy chow snack lover. Chocolate, peanut butter, sugar and more, piled into an ooey gooey fudge brownie! Dig in!
Ingredients
- 1 Box Fudge Brownie Mix
- 1 cup Muddy Buddy Chex Mix
- 1 tbsp Chocolate Syrup
- 1 tsp Powdered Sugar/Sprinkles (optional)
Instructions

Preheat the oven and prep the boxed brownies according to the directions on the box

Bake the brownies and then allow to cool.

Spread the chex mix evenly atop the brownies

Drizzle the chocolate syrup over the chex mix.

Top with powdered sugar and/or sprinkles and serve!
