It is spring time and let me tell you how much I DO NOT want to be hanging out in the house cooking. These last few days have been beautiful and although I want to eat at home, I also want to play with my kids, so quick easy meals are all I am interested in right now. When I was introduced to a Nacho Bake, I jumped all over it and made it my own.
This meal only takes about 20 minutes from start to finish and is sooooo cheesy and scrumptious, you might just eat the entire pan.
Ingredients:
- 1 lbs ground beef
- 1 bag of Doritos Nacho Cheese Chips
- 1 pkg of shredded cheese
- 1 sauce pack of Velveta melted cheese
- 1 small can of mild diced green chiles
The recipe is simple and easy to spruce up with some great veggies and sour cream and salsa if you want. We love to put different toppings on and have tried olives, lettuce, onions/chives, diced garlic and bell peppers to name a few.
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Brown your ground beef in a pan. When it is almost done browning, add in the diced green chilies and cook together until the ground beef is fully browned.
- Add the Velveeta sauce package to the ground beef mixture and remove the mixture from the stove heat.
- Pour your bag of Doritos into a 13 x 9 inch cake pan and then spread the ground beef mixture evenly over the chips. Top with shredded cheese.
- Bake until the shredded cheese is melted.
- Remove from the oven, and top with your favorite veggies and sauces and enjoy!
