Table Mountain Inn
A few weekends ago, our family had a small staycation and enjoyed the sights, scenes and food only about 30 minutes outside of Denver. We were hosted at the Table Mountain Inn which is an adobe-style boutique hotel located in the Center of historic Golden Colorado!
Table Mountain Inn was founded in 1925 and was the first full-service hotel in Golden. Since 1925 it has undergone renovations and incredible upgrades taking the one story hotel to 5 stories with 74 rooms ranging from awesome suites to standard hotel rooms.
The entire hotel has the southwestern chic look and feel with natural elements and a bit of Colorado history mixed throughout. In addition, Table Mountain Inn has a wonderful Grill and Cantina complete with an outdoor patio, full bar, wine cellar and incredible food. It is truly a great place to stay, dine and play with views for days too!
The Suite Life
Our family stayed in the Santa Fe Executive Suite while visiting. It slept the 4 of us very comfortably. We had a pull out couch which both this kids decided to sleep on, a king size bed and they even had a twin rollout for us if needed.
There is a living area, with a balcony overlooking Table Mountain and downtown Golden, that has a small dining area, large closet, fireplace and television as well.
We stayed during a wintery weekend and truly loved turning on that fireplace and enjoying the snowfall outside. It was magical and peaceful and so comfortable. Our suite also had a cute little kitchenette fully stocked with coffee and tea.
Other room amenities were a full size bathroom, with jetted tub, a second balcony with outdoor seating which was fantastic for that morning coffee and crisp air. A second television, king sized bed and desk for working. The linens were super soft and we slept like babies.
Our kids LOVED having their own space and were all about lounging in the room. They seriously were such little bedheads and kept telling us how much they loved the hotel.
Our room experience at Table Mountain Inn was top notch and truly one of a kind. From the decor, to the amenities we truly enjoyed every second.
Table Mountain Inn Grill & Cantina
A huge perk to the hotel is that they boast one of the best places to eat in the town. The Table Mountain Inn Grill & Cantina is right inside the entrance and is a full service and full size southwestern cuisine restaurant. They have breakfast, lunch and dinner offerings and the service is impeccable.
We enjoyed meals there a few times and always left with full bellies and raving reviews. The food was truly super delicious, the portions were fantastic and they menu was great. You can tell everything is homemade in house, fresh and that they take pride in their food.
We had 3 meals there, every single one was perfection and it was clear to see that the town loves the food too, as they were packed in enjoying it. The night scene was fantastic, even on a cold winter night and we felt like part of the community.
Host Your Event
One of the things I wasn’t expecting was that Table Mountain Inn had so many gorgeous spaces to host an event. From meetings, to parties and weddings, they can seriously manage anything. They have gorgeous spaces to fit any size and budget and offer catering too.
One of their awesome venue spaces also has this great outdoor patio that seriously was magical with the snow all over and the romeo and juliet-esque balconies overlooking the space. I mean if I was going to get married again, this would be a serious contender!

- The Views: Honestly, we loved waking up, looking out the balcony and seeing the Rocky Mountains and the mesa of Table Mountain. It is breathtaking!
- The Shopping: There are so many quaint and cute shops along downtown Golden. We shopped and ate our way through and truly had a great time. We all found a little trinket or toy to bring home and the kids won’t stop talking about the ice cream shoppe.
- The Nightlife: Although we had the kids in tow, we went out to a local pizzeria the first night there and boy was the nightlife great. So fun and welcoming and people just having a great time. It was that relaxing, hometown feel but with good music, food and a positive spirit.
