Colorado Ballet has put on stunning performances of The Nutcracker for over 60 years to enthralled audiences throughout the Denver area. They combine technique, artistry, live orchestra and beautiful scenery with fun and excitement for the entire family.

3 Reasons You MUST see The Nutcracker presented by Colorado Ballet

Colorado Ballet is the premier ballet company in the state and made top 20 in the nation this past year. They have always put forth incredibly performances throughout each of their 62 seasons and this does not just include The Nutcracker. Those two reasons should be enough to convince you, but here are 3 more reasons you must see The Nutcracker presented by Colorado Ballet.

  1. Talent: Colorado Ballet not only hosts talent from around the world, but also locally as well. They work hard to train their dancers and future generations to carry on the traditions and love of this performance. We’ve gone for nearly 10 consecutive years and every year the performances have the same incredible skill, artistry and passion while also keeping the spirit of the story true.
  2. Costumes & Sets: When I tell you that the costumes and sets will take your breath away, I am not kidding. A few years ago Colorado Ballet worked diligently to fund new costumes and new sets and holy moly did they bring everything they had into this. The way that the costumes and sets are built to move with the performers makes the story even more magical. It feels like you are right there in the story with the artists.
  3. Humor: You almost wouldn’t expect to laugh through a ballet but Colorado Ballet knows that to truly bring this story alive, you have to bring some humor too. The performers are not just dancing and going through the motions, they are working that crowd with hysterical gestures and facial expressions and even some TikTok inspired moves that the audience eats up.
