Disclosure: We were provided free lessons from Goldfish Swim School in exchange for coverage. We were not influenced to share anything positive, this is just our real experience.
In November, we started swim lessons at Goldfish Swim School in Stapleton, Colorado. It has been one of the best decisions that we have made for our kids and we are so happy with the progress we are seeing. I continue to recommend this place to everyone I see and am constantly filtering messages from friends and family about Goldfish Swim School. It is truly amazing.
Our kids both started their lessons off in the glider 1 group which really focuses on water awareness and safety. Our son quickly passed out of that class and has been in Glider 2 for the past few weeks. He is already ready to pass into the next level with just a few more lessons. This boy can swim and it only took a couple weeks of instruction from Goldfish Swim School.
He started out not even treading water and now he can swim laps across the pool on both his stomach and his back. He can nearly swim the width of the pool under water and he is diving for rings with no hesitation. It has been awesome to watch him just rock these lessons and also look forward to them.
Now although our son needed some swim lessons, the biggest reason we went to Goldfish Swim School was because of our daughter. She was a huge, scary danger in the water. Putting her head under and not coming up and diving into any depth she felt like. This girl needed to be belted to an adult to be in a pool. After a few weeks she is doing so much better and becoming much more aware of her surroundings and how not to sink to the bottom and wait for someone to rescue you. It is phenomenal. She started lessons timid (not like her) and crying and now, she runs to get her swim suit on, is the first to line up at the door and is the last to get out of the water nearly every time.
She went from literally sinking to the bottom, to learning how to do a back float, swimming small lengths of about 5-10 feet and they have even helped to be a better listener. Her favorite part of lessons is swimming to the yellow platforms in the middle of the pool and then doing this silly jump dive thing off them to swim back to the side of the pool. It is such a crack up, but she is really getting better every lesson and is close to passing out of this class into the next level too!
You cannot tell from the photo, but she actually swam all the way from the pools edge, under water to her teacher (who kept backing up)! It was a proud moment for all of us and such an amazing experience to see her reaction when she came up and saw how far she had swam. She works so hard and has just made leaps and bounds and we have to thank Goldfish Swim School for all of that progress.
If you are looking for swim lessons in the greater Denver area, Goldfish Swim School is the place for you. They are incredible with kids, great with parents, the amenities are phenomenal and the progress that we see not just our children making but others as well is mind blowing. You really need to register because word of mouth is getting out and they are filling up quickly!
