Yeah 4 years doesn’t seem that long right. Except that in reality my hubby and I have been together for 11 years! So technically its happy 4/11 year anniversary. This past decade plus 1 have had their ups and downs and through it all, we still love and cherish each other. I thought I would commemorate our anniversary by going through some old wedding photos and reminiscing. Ready for the dump?
My wedding day was amazing, we had well over 400 guests attend our down home country back yard drinkingfest. It was everything I could ask for and more and if I had to do it all over again, I would do it the exact same way (well except for my mom not enjoying the pre-wedding activities due to some uhhh issues…see below).
My wedding party, sans me…we’ll get there in a second. Colors were pink, teal & brown
My handsome hubby! Ohhh Lala
So why am I not in any pictures? Well Jason had an accident about a month before the wedding. We got married at my parents old farm house and it needed some serious exterior work before we could actually have the ceremony. We truthfully I was fine getting hitched in the weeds with all our friends and family around, but my parents wanted to finally get the exterior looking as fantastic as the interior so this was a perfect reason for that to happen. So a month before the wedding Jason and my dad were doing the siding and Jason went head first off a ladder and tore his shoulder pretty much off. So with Jason out of commission, my mom had to step in and do a lot of the work. Why was this a contributor to me not being in the pictures? Because my mom was making my dress and working 50+ hours a week at her full time job. Not much time to finish my dress, plan the wedding and help in the yard.
That’s my mom, DAY OF, and that is my wedding dress on the machine and in pieces on the couch.
I was 45 minutes late to my own wedding, in 90 degree heat. Thankfully our guests were enjoying the misters, and music and mingling, so no one really cared, but at one point I put on my mom’s white robe and just about walked down that aisle. My mom and her friends really came through and busted out my wedding dress and it looked amazing…everything I wanted and I was just overjoyed with it!
Daddy walking me down the aisle. Dress was satin with pink accents. the back had roses on it!
After a fantastic ceremony by my Uncle Zig, Jason and I sealed it with a High FIVE…and a kiss 🙂
I just love this picture…kinda looks trashy, but is completely me. Does this mean I am trashy?
Being the sweet hubby he is, he rightfully shoved that cake in my face. I was actually laughing after this.
garter toss…check out the guy leaping forward to catch it! Hysterical!
Did you know I coached high school cheerleading for almost 7 years!
My girls popped up some simple stunts and went for that bouquet! SO UNSAFE GIRLS 😉
Jason and I did the Evolution of Dance for our first dance. Only 2 people knew this was happening, so people were so surprised and could not stop telling us how awesome it was!
