Summer officially came to an end today. More on this later this week. We have been busy this entire summer and although I am ready for school to start, I am already missing sleeping in, morning snuggles, donuts for breakfast and fun playdates. I had a few things that we had to do before summer ended.
First up, the Lego exhibit at the Denver Zoo!
There were a TON of other Lego’s that we did not take pictures of. We were there the day before the official opening so it was a bit of a surprise that they were “unveiling” all of the exhibits. We ended our day with a quick train ride. The Denver Zoo is one of my favorite places in the entire world!

However, our family summer is never complete without a trip to our local county fair. I grew up going to this fair as its location was only about 5 minutes from my house. Now it is a bit farther (and we actually don’t even live in that county anymore), however, it is just as fun.

The final summer weekend was spent WITHOUT kids. They went camping with grandma and grandpa while I cleaned, payed bills, got some shopping done and spent some quality time with the hubby. We went up to the mountains and did some eating and gambling. We even decided to try oysters! Not my favorite and probably wont do that again.
