In March, after 10 years, the husband and I finally decided that it was time to buy a table that was family friendly and would last a long time. We found an amazing deal on our table and are so happy with the quality and look of it. Now that we have a new centerpiece in our home, I want to bring some festive decorations to it and decided to start with a simple and affordable fall table scape.
Fall in Colorado is life. If you have never witnessed the Aspens changing or the beauty of the weather here, you need to put that on your bucket list. Every color imaginable is all around us and fall is really a magical time. I wanted to bring those stunning colors into our kitchen and put together an inexpensive yet fun little table scape. I am pretty happy with how this one turned out.
If you have been around the blog for a while, you know that I love me some Target dollar bins and the Dollar Tree! You can find some cute stuff there for sure and the price is hard to beat!
I bought the tablecloth at Kohl’s. I love it because it is so soft and the colors are vibrant. The placemats are just those simple felt decor pieces that the Dollar Tree sells. They work great for placemats and my kids just love playing with them.
Candy in our house, particularly chocolate is our weak point. We LOVE it. Target had a great sale on these candies and in addition, I had a coupon so I decided to splurge. I will say that I had to take the apple picking bucket off the table, because the littles were sneaking down and snagging a candy in the middle of the night. It was great while it lasted though. The bucket came from the Target bins for $3.00 and the “Welcome” sign was a Dollar Tree find.
When I found the little ceramic animals in the Target bins I fell in love. They were $3.00 each and I knew that I wanted to add a little something to them so these little argyle coasters were a great way to add a little more flair. The coasters were only $3.00 as well!
My last find of the fall table decor was the napkins and the cute acorn salt and pepper shakers. I snagged those at the Dollar Tree and they really brought everything together.
I am really happy with our new grown up table and how this simple and cute table scape came together. In total I spent $21.00 on the decor (not including candy or the tablecloth). Already friends and family have been complimenting how festive, warm and welcoming it is.
I am definitely going to put together more table decor ideas for the upcoming holidays. Look for more budget friendly ideas coming your way!
