Santa HQ
“Here comes Santa Claus” and you guys, we were first in line! I always make sure that we get into see our favorite guy in red early and one of our favorite visits is at Flatiron Crossing Mall. We made that visit on Saturday morning, after a nice breakfast with Santa.
Centrally located, you cannot miss Santa HQ presented by HGTV. With a big, welcoming entrance and several fun activities to do as you wait for your chance to meet the big guy, it is a wonderfully immersive experience! Santa HQ is more than just your traditional photo opportunity. It boasts a Naughty or Nice O’meter, Elf-Ray Vision and even a cool Elf Academy!
We made easily online and walked right up to begin our experience through Santa HQ. Posing for some photos before we entered the observatory, the entrance to Santa HQ, is magical and always draws my children in.
Immerse Yourself In Santa HQ
Once you have entered , you are invited to check if you are on the Naughty or Nice O’Meter. Simply type in your name, stand on the scanner and see where you rate on the scale.
My kids intensely watched that snowflake gear go up and down on that meter as they waited for their current status. I think we all breathed a sigh of relief when they both made the nice list. You guys, one of them might have been borderline…take a guess which one.
Once they knew where they currently stood on “the list” we entered the observatory to check out what the elves were up to and do a little work on the control center. My son immediately grabbed on of the tablets and started looking for the elves throughout the entire observatory. He laughed the entire time while playing with Elf-Ray Vision.
My nephew, was in toddler heaven with the control center. He pressed every button, pushed and pulled every lever and ran around that place like a madman in his element…he may have also made the naughty list. I am kidding, that boy wouldn’t stand still long enough to be scanned.
It was so easy to immerse ourselves in the experience of and my kids love seeing where they land on the Naughty or Nice O’Meter.
Picture Time
Once you exit the observatory, it is time to prepare to meet Santa! You get two photo opportunities here. Getting all three of the babies to smile for a photo at the same time is basically a miracle, so when I saw this one, I melted!
That face on that little nephew nugget of mine, just makes me want to squeeze him! As in love with this photo as I am, we were there to see Santa and when it was our turn, my little girl RAN to him. She knew exactly what she wanted (which BTW, doesn’t exists, so Santa better get to crackin) and he took time with each kid.
We were never rushed and he gave each child their own special time. Sometimes, it is just a “what do you want for Christmas, take the picture” moment, but not at Santa HQ! Santa was attentive, and truly listened to each child. In between meeting kids, he would get up and talk with the littles on the outside of Santa HQ and was just a wonderful man!
I mean he was even completely game with the crazy toddler who refused to pay any attention to anything. Santa just went with it. Following his gestures and holding his balloon. You guys, it was awesome and such a great memory for all the kiddos. He also was more than willing to pose for many photos!
Santa HQ was fantastic and I all three of our kids really had a great time experiencing all they could. Check out this video below to see everything that has to offer.
