Where This All Began
I often think back to why I started writing this blog 10 years ago. Not because I regret anything, but because so much has changed in those 10 years. I started writing to have a place to quickly throw up a few photos and jot down what we were doing, so that I could come back to this online journal and use that information to create my children’s baby books.
The First Picture EVER posted to We Got the Funk
Within 5 years of hitting publish on my first posts, both of my children’s baby books were complete and I had found a community of amazing entrepreneurs that were using their platforms to help people. I began to shift from sharing every single baby and toddler update to using this space to help others with parenting tips, fun crafts, recipes and more.
Goals For the Future
I seriously never thought that this little space on the internet of mine would become our families small business. My husband and I now both write articles here. The kids love to get involved (especially in video) and it is something that we are very proud of. It has taken years of work and stress and so much joy to get where we are, but we still have so many goals to reach.
2020 has been a year of seeking balance for myself but also for my family. I hadn’t taken a family vacation in 3 years (not even camping) without my computer by my side.
