Finally, I am sharing some of our photos from the Peanuts 2nd Pirate & Pixie themed party! We had a great time with lots of fun for the kids.
Decorations!
I stayed up pretty much all night cleaning and prepping the decor for this party. We were still putting the finishing touches on the party when guests were arriving, but it turned our great and everyone had a blast!
The welcome table, had the cupcakes that were wrapped in pirate ships and tea cups and the fun part was the dress up pieces that each of the kids could put on, they loved this and there was a lot of laughing and dressing up happening!
Centerpieces:
For the pirate table, I purchased these wooden ships and sprinkled the table with chocolate coins
For the Pixie table, I made these little vases and placed them on the wood and sprinkled them with pixie sticks.
The Birthday Banner did not turn out exactly as I would have liked because it couldn’t be hung where I was hoping, but still looked great!
Food:
This was one of the first parties where I did themed food. I thought it would really make the party fun and I particularly liked how the options that I found were pretty healthy. People ate everything up too!
Swab the Deck Salad: Pasta Salad Fruit Kaboobs: Fruit Wands Carrot sticks & Cucumbers: Swords
Pirate Booty and Pixie Punch: I absolutely love these drink dispensers. One of the best purchases we have ever made.
Cannon Balls: Cheese balls Fish -n- Chips: Goldfish crackers & Ruffles Acorns: Donut holes with sprinkles and pretzels ( I used melted white chocolate to get the sprinkles to stick) Twigs & Berries: Pretzel sticks and Berries
Sandwich Options: For the kids there was “fairy bread” which was peanut butter and Hershey’s chocolate spread with sprinkles and for the adults we did “Shipwreck Sandwiches” which were basic subs.
FUN & GAMES!
We had a beautiful day in Colorado which in March is a gamble. So we were able to have the party outside and the kids played on all out playground equipment and ran around a lot. I also organized a little activity for them instead of goodie bags.
I decided it would be so fun to have the kids paint fairy houses and treasure boxes. I made sure to buy the washable paint and get some stickers for them to make it their own.
The kids all had a great time and the foam plates were a great painting area!
The birthday princess was very focused and her little house was mainly blue when it was all done.
One of the funniest parts was the kids swords fights! They were funny!
Cake:
The Peanut LOVED being sang to this year (unlike last year where she pretty much lost her mind) and was an expert at blowing out her candles. It was a much better idea to do cupcakes rather than try to cut a cake and pass it out.
She has glitter all over her face…Maybe Pixie Dust (glitter) wasn’t the best idea, we’re still finding it all over!
Getting this one to stay still was difficult. She was running around and just enjoying the entire day!
Thank you to all our friends and family that made it out for her special day. We had a wonderful time celebrating with you!
