In the last month my poor family has been infected with pretty much all the stuff. It started with my son being sent home from school with vomiting, then two rounds of strep for the husband and boy, then the husband getting pneumonia, then the tiny girl coming down with croup.
This poor little guys face says it all. We found out earlier last week that our little guy does not get strep the typical way. Instead he vomits when he has strep, so my assumption that he had the stomach flu was proved wrong when his throat culture came back positive and we learned that this little guy had his second bout of strep throat. A round of antibiotics and a couple rough days and he was better.
I thought we were out in the clear until this little girl curled up in my lap and fell asleep. She never does that. The next day the raspy voice, barking cough, complaints of a sore throat and fever started. I immediately grabbed our cold and flu essentials for this little toddler.
In our house, chicken noodle soup, ginger ale, chapstick, tissues, cough syrup and Pine Bros throat lozenges are the cold essentials. I keep them stocked up and ready for any little virus or bacteria that attacks our home.

To soothe her sore throat I grabbed our favorite throat lozenges that are softish and have a great flavor my kids will actually use. Pine Bros has been our go to throat drop for the past 6 months for so many reason. First, they flavors that they offer are really great. My kids love the wild cherry flavor (I love that they are sugar free) and I enjoy the vitamin C orange flavor. Both drop flavors are so gentle on the throat, not to strong on the senses and softish. They are also easy to find in the store.
If your kids are anything like mine, they want to chew on any “hard” candy, medicine or ice that enters their little biting jaws. Luckily Pine Bros throat lozenges are soft enough that they can bite them safely, but strong enough that they will not break their teeth. What I love the most is that my kids do not fuss when I have them use a Pine Bros throat lozenge. They both know that the drops make their throats feel better and that they taste good.
In addition to providing a fantastic product, Pine Bros has also created a fun game called Thumbopoly. This slot type game is available on the app store and offers a variety of real life prizes, coupon codes and gift cards for players. If you like playing games and earning prizes you should check out Thumbopoly.
I have been playing for a couple days and am enjoying the challenge. I have not won anything just yet and I am still earning thumbucks but I am going to play until I get a prize. If you are interested, you should definitely check this app out and do not forget to swing by your store and get your Pine Bros throat lozenges!
