PreSchool Graduation

Sharing is caring!

You guys!  My baby graduated preschool last Thursday.  It was a late ceremony as preschool ended for them about 6 weeks ago.  It has been a long 6 weeks for my little guy who has had little time to play with friends.  He is so eager to start back up at school next year.  The little ceremony was super duper cute.

First we started with the procession.  The little ones walked right in and took their seats.  They were all dressed so cute.
There was some hat adjustments and giggles
Then the presentations of the diploma!
My favorite part was when they went down the line and asked the kids what they wanted to be when they grow up.  Most kids answered, “firefighter”, “policeman”, and “veterinarian”.  My little man so confidently said he wanted to be a “FIRE HYDRANT!”  The room filled with laughter and he just smiled right through it.  Anyone can be a fireman but it takes a special person to be a fire hydrant right?
Next they gave their mama’s each a tulip to thank us for supporting them.
Finally they graduated and tossed their hats.
It was adorable and sweet.  I really enjoyed watching my little guy grow over the past 2 years of preschool and I know that he is ready for kindergarten.
I am a little emotional over all of this.  I cannot believe that I am about to have a kid in a public (kinda) school and that he is 5.  I know that parents always say that it goes by so fast, but honestly I cannot even fathom the speed to which these past 5 years have passed.  I know that I am excited to see him grow and see what type of student he develops into.
So parents, how did you all (or are you) handle the transition?
