As summer ends, the school year and all the activities that go with that begins. While I am busy teaching and blogging, my kids will be busy with school and baseball or dance. This means that it is time to prepare for the busy weeks ahead.
Back to school and activities means that I need to label all the things. From school supplies to sports equipment, to shoes, everything needs to be labeled. I contacted Mabel’s Labels to make this process quick and smooth. All I needed to do was go online, pick out the packs of labels that fit our needs and added in some personalization and hit order. Boom, in just a few days the order was in our hands.
I chose three different sets. The first was the sports label pack for my son’s baseball equipment. The second was the mini custom name labels for my classroom supplies. The final one was the preschool shoe labels for my daughter to gain more independence.
I had to purchase something to label all my son’s baseball equipment. The dugout with a bunch of 7 year old boys is a mess of equipment and that equipment is not cheap. Often we were trying to figure out whose batting helmet or glove belonged to whom and it was a mess. Permanent marker wears off over time and so I needed something longer lasting and better for this upcoming fall season.
The sports pack is exactly what I was looking for. It has our last name on it and my son’s number. The adhesive on the labels is strong and Mabel’s Label’s has great tips for getting the most life out of your labels, such as, getting out air bubbles and applying to clean dry surfaces.
I used a little rubbing alcohol on the bag, glove, bat and helmet to clean up the surface and then just peeled and stuck the labels right onto the surfaces I had just cleaned. Everything went very quickly and in less time then it would have taken me to write everything, the labels were on and perfect.
I liked that there were various sizes to put on items and that I could choose which labels would look best as well as which size fit our equipment the best.
We are definitely ready for this upcoming season and now I know that we will get the equipment back that we paid for. I am also happy that our labels will last and not wear off. However, our planning and labeling does not stop there. The littlest is starting to become more independent and insists on putting on her shoes and picking out her, well, everything. She inevitably will put her shoes on the wrong feet, so when I saw the preschool shoe labels from Mabel’s Labels, I jumped all over those!
The labels come in various designs and you can put your child’s name on them to help with identification. As you can see, you just peel and stick to a clean dry sole and they come in halves so all your child needs to do is put the halves together like a puzzle, to put them on the correct foot.
I am pretty excited to label my classroom when I get back. Tape dispensers, scissors, staplers and my favorite grading markers constantly go “missing” and with these label’s hopefully that will detour a bit of that. I am already planning to make another order of back to school labels for the kids to get all their school supplies labeled as well. The labels were so fast, convenient and easy to use and in our world we need that!
If you are looking for a way to label all the things, head over to Mabel’s Labels and grab some great deals! Also one awesome person will win a pack of back to school labels just by entering the Rafflecopter below!
