On a beautiful day in March, my husbands truly amazing grandfather passed peacefully with his loved ones nearby. Grandpa was a veteran and as such was laid to rest at our local military cemetery with respect and honor.
In one of the most beautiful services I have ever attended two servicemen paid tribute to a man that has been critical to my husbands upbringing and truly the patriarch of our family.
Memorial Day is about the men and women who gave all and are no longer with us. As an American who has not served in the armed forces, I am deeply thankful that there are those that were so brave, so strong and so willing to accept the ultimate sacrifice for my family to have freedom.
So Thank You to the Hubby’s Grandpa and My Great-Grandfather and the millions of Americans who gave all.
