I received some product samples for free for review from Oriental Trading, however, I would have ordered them anyway (and did) because I love the products so much.
Last weekend my beautiful little princess turned 3 and we threw her a fantastic Frozen themed birthday party. It was unbelievable and I will have a couple posts about this because it was just that good. I figure that I would start with the party recap and give you the details on decor, entertainment and food!
My little girl is a huge Frozen fan. It is sort of odd because we do not necessarily watch the movie all the time, maybe once a month, but she just loves Elsa. When I asked her what she wanted to be for Halloween, it was Elsa and for her Birthday of course Frozen was what she wanted. I got to work and put together a party that I know she will NEVER forget!
Invitations:
I started with the invites. I featured her in her Elsa Halloween costume and downloaded some Frozen fonts to use as well as some clipart. I used Picmonkey to create the invite and then printed them at Target as a 4×6 photo. I absolutely love it and for 30 invites I spent $5.00!
Food:
Last year I went all out and had so much themed food and prep work. It was overwhelming. So overwhelming that I decided to simplify the food and instead of spending the entire party prepping and refilling food, I would instead enjoy the party and have some easy to refill options. I went with sandwiches and chips, veggie and fruit trays with some sweet treats mixed in!

The food was a hit and feeding nearly 40 people only cost about $100.00! If you want more info on where I snagged these deals feel free to ask in the comments. Also feel free to download the FROZEN FOOD LABELS! They were fun and I made those the same way I made the invites but I printed them on card stock.
Decorations:
I am a big fan of Oriental Trading for decorations. They have an amazing variety of options for nearly every single party and they are very affordable. I order our party decor through them every single year and the shipping is incredibly fast, the customer service is great and the products are exactly what you would find in store but at a better price! Plus they offer free shipping often which is even better!
The party table was fun to set up. I purchased the Frozen basic party pack which came with tablecloths, balloons, plates, napkins, streamers, cups, cutlery and confetti. For the main table I used the tablecloth, some balloons and the confetti. I used the streamers outside but unfortunately the wind blew those around so much that I could not get a decent picture of our outdoor seating area. I also bought the HUGE “add an age” birthday banner which was awesome.
One of the most exciting decorations that I purchased was 2 enormous Olaf and Anna and Elsa mylar balloons and a 6 ft tall cardboard Frozen Ice Castle! I wanted to put the mylar balloons on the main table and use the castle for a backdrop for pictures. They worked perfectly and now both the castle and the balloons live happily in my daughters room where she pretends to be her princesses daily.
Like I said above, the party was windy and unfortunately my outdoor table set ups got blown everywhere. However, I loved the items that I purchased for the kids table. This centerpiece looked fantastic before we had to take it down and really carried the theme outside.
We also has themed plates, napkins and cups from the basic party pack. The quality was great and the durability of the items was even better. The plates held up and the napkins were strong. I really loved the designs and the bright colors as well. Cannot go wrong with these items!

The Cake:
I can bake and I am actually pretty good at it, however, it is time consuming and therefore I leave it up to the professionals. Target has the BEST icing in my opinion so snagging this cake with some matching cupcakes was a fantastic idea! It was a hit too, so good, so pretty and just what my little Elsa wanted.
Treat Sack Station:
Normally the night before the party I am frantically cleaning and decorating and putting together treat sacks for the guests. This year I tried to be a little more lax because honestly with everything I have going on it just wasn’t going to happen that way. I cleaned up the house but really I left the morning of to set the party up in about an hour, and one of my genius ideas was this DIY treat sack station!
I purchased everything from Oriental Trading and seriously it was a huge hit. The kids loved making their own treat sacks and parents loved that it was not completely candy based. I used the snowflake candy buckets that come in a pack of six to set up the station. I then filled them with stickers, pencils, chocolates, Olaf suckers and candy bracelets.
I laid out the Frozen cellophane bags and the kids just truly had a great time picking out their favorites to take home. There was plenty for everyone and plenty left over! I will most definitely be doing this for every single party to come!
Entertainment:
There will be an entire post dedicated to these beautiful women and the amazing gift they gave my daughter and every guest at the party. All I am saying now is if you are considering hiring a performer to come to your child’s party and you are in the Denver Metro area, Princess Ever After is absolutely where you need to look. It was absolutely the perfect day and these two were beyond amazing. I have so much to say, so many pictures but one that I wanted to share was how great the Ice Castle from Oriental Trading looked in our pictures! These will be cherished forever!
Like all parties, we ended with gifts and our friends and family spoiled her to the next level. The excitement came at the end when she finally got the bike she had been begging for! Unfortunately even at 10” the bike is a bit too big. We are going to do some temporary modifications to hopefully make it fit her better, but she still loves it.
We are so grateful to our friends and family who shared in this day with us. I cannot believe how perfect it really was and how blessed we truly are. I am thankful to Oriental Trading for the product samples they sent us! Honestly, I ended up ordering so much from them over my provided samples because I truly just value this company so much. It was perfect and we could not be more thankful.
