Fall is upon us and it is time for us to make our homes warm and inviting. Check out this fall mantle makeover for some budget friendly fall decor and also take a look at some fall decorations I added through the rest of the house.
I feel like the fireplace mantle in our living room is a huge focal point. In fact I have a two sided fireplace and we love it. We built the mantle shelf when we first moved in and then just sort of left the same beach themed decor with a few little changes here and there. However, last Christmas I changed up the mantle a bit and boy did it really help to make my home feel warmer and more festive. I was so excited to start on my mantles this year. Check out what I came up with for just under $30.00!
A fun gold embossed wooden sign, with a fun sparkly pumpkin atop a candlestick. This gives depth and warmth to the room.
I am a huge fan of flameless candles and this candleholder that I have is actually beach theme. I found this awesome flower ring and cut it to wrap around the candleholder and bring that fall feeling into the room.
Here is a better view of the candleholder. Those scarecrows are from the Dollar Tree and they are seriously my favorite. One of my best finds yet and they always have them around the fall season!
I could not pass up these glitter pumpkins and mini hay bales. They make a little mess, but they are absolutely adorable and definitely scream fall!
It is super hard to get a good photo of these, a couple dollar store wine glasses and some pinecones and acorn pieces and you have a cute little candle holder. I trapped the pinecone/acorn mixture in the bottom by hot gluing a sandwich bag to the rim of the cup and then trimming it around. That took me a few years to think of ?!
Adding some leaves, lights and a burlap banner and this mantle was perfect! Oh but I was not done there. The rest of my house needed a bit of a pick me up! So I went to town!
I love all those beautiful chalkboard signs on Pinterest, so I decided to try my hand at ours.
Added some strands of leafs above our kitchen cupboards
Fell in love with this adorable burlap wooden crow harvest sign from Michaels. (On sale!)
This little Dollar Tree rock had me at Acorn.
I am not completely in love with this area yet, but I am working on it
The kitchen table. Used some of those felt cut outs as placemats, a roll of burlap as a runner and a festive table cloth.
…and those acorn salt and pepper shakers.
My home just feels warmer and these little changes are actually really keeping me relaxed and festive. We are using fall scented Scentsy candles and everything is just feels right. I love my decor right now and although Halloween is next up, I think we will keep Fall up for a bit longer.
