School supply shopping can be a stressor for many households. Check out why I teamed up for the Back to school giveback with Toyota.
Disclosure: I am partnering with Toyota. All opinions are my own.
Back to School Giveback
We have been back to school officially for an entire week. Honestly, it has been wonderful to be back in person, interacting with the kids and teaching in person. I love prepping for back to school and was super excited when Toyota asked me if I wanted to give back to my community for back to school.
I was 100% in and started right away shopping and preparing school supplies. I jumped in the 2021 Toyota Venza and hit up the sales to get as many supplies as I could to make backpacks full that I could donate to our local community.
After gathering all the supplies I could afford, I went ahead and assembled several backpacks that could be picked up by students in need. I dropped them off at our local district drop of site and was told that they already had families ready to come pick them up.
I know that purchasing school supplies can be really tough for some families and was so glad that I could help out our community and partner with Toyota to get these supplies into the hands of awesome kids who I know are going to have one heck of a year. If you are interested in giving back and donating school supplies to families in need, call your local school district and ask where you can drop the items off.
Celebrating Back to School
To celebrate our official return to school, the family and I jumped in the Venza and hit up our local ice cream shop. This is a yearly tradition for us and the kids look forward to it.
I love that we are able to grab a sweet treat, chat about the excitement around the new year and get in those last seconds of summer.
2021 Toyota Venza Hybrid Limited
Speaking of that 2021 Toyota Venza…it was super cute. We cruised around for a week in it. To me it felt like a smaller version of their signature Highlander. We tested out the Hybrid edition which can I just tell you was incredible on mileage. I seriously got 39 mpg and drove on the tank of gas they sent it with for the entire week.
The 2021 Toyota Venza is sleek and stylish. It is a 4 door crossover and this particular limited model boasts seating for 5, leather seats, a panoramic roof with an on/off control and power sunshade.
The interior of the Toyota Venza has many of the features that Toyota is known for. The soft leather seats, Heads-up display, premium audio with dynamic navigation featuring JBL speakers and a 12.3′ touchscreen display.
The cargo area of the Venza was massive. You can see above that I had like 11 bags of school supplies and it barely looked like there was anything in there. The cargo area was awesome and has plenty of room for groceries, strollers and many other items.

That's a great-looking SUV and such good news about the gas mileage! Like you, we are super happy about in person learning - it's crucial for the children and teachers - and look forward to a great school year ahead!
