In 14 days, as my son keeps counting down, my oldest turns 7! I am not ready for him to be 7 already. Kid is losing teeth all over the place, outgrowing clothes and shoes faster than I can even keep up with, he eats us out of house and home already and he knows exactly what he wants his party to be this year. So we started the planning on his Lego Batman birthday yesterday and this is what we have came up with.
I designed the invites yesterday using Picmonkey as well as some transparent images from Google. My son loves them and now I just need to get them out ASAP.
For the decorations we are going pretty easy here. He is having a roller skating party again (easy when our family owns roller rinks), so I went ahead and ordered the Lego Batman party supplies from Oriental Trading. Makes life easy and can’t beat having everything shipped to you.
Although the table setting is pretty much picked out, I do like to have levels on my tables. I will probably find a balloon bouquet and make some of these fun little centerpieces but with Lego Batman people. These were from an Etsy store, that has since closed, but they look easy enough to make.
I am a HUGE fan of Target cakes. Ok, I am a HUGE fan of Target’s Bettercream whipped frosting. I can bake pretty well, but honestly, I would rather just pick everything up, set it up and relax. So this is the cake my son wanted, he is doing the pull apart cupcakes and I am fine with that.
I do have a few party favors already ordered, but these flashlights look like fun! I have everything to make them and I think the kids would totally dig them! I found this idea here.
So these are our plans for now. I am pretty excited that for the most part the party is planned and I just need to execute. We have about 3 weeks until his party date and he is already so excited to show off his skating skills which are improving every single time. We always love spending time with our family and friends and are eagerly awaiting a fun day with everyone.
