Last week was INCREDIBLE! See what I did there? We were able to preview the long awaited sequel, Incredibles 2, and it lived up to and exceeded our expectations. Today I am sharing some of our favorite reasons to see the Incredibles 2 (no spoilers).
Disney Pixar’s Incredibles 2 picks up where the first left off and takes you on an action packed adventure with the Parr’s leading! It is almost as if the first movie never ended and we truly get to see where the Incredibles went and what is to come. From the opening scene to the final moments, you are wrapped up in the storyline of super hero politics and family dynamics that are all too relatable in the current world climate. Adding a new villain and some great new Hero’s to an already fantastic cast of original characters including Frozone, Incredibles 2 does not disappoint.
Family Dynamics
With Mrs. Incredible (Elastigirl) leading a campaign to bring the supers back and Mr. Incredible taking on the stay at home dad role in a hilarious and relatable storyline. I feel like a movie that takes on this role reversal is so important for families to see. My kids were laughing as Mr. Incredible fumbled through his new role and went home and told their dad all about it. I love that it shows that when faced with a challenge, the family unit rises together and is supportive of each other for a common goal and that in the end family is the most important. You really need to see this to appreciate how good this underlying tone is.
More Frozone
“Where is my Super Suit?” This quote basically lived on in my house for the last 13 years. Anytime my husband loses something, he yells that and we laugh. Incredibles 1 did not give us enough of this awesome character and I was so happy to see him play a bigger role in Incredibles 2. He brings a lot of humor and some sweet saves to the movie and of course that Super Suit is brought back too! If you needed more Frozone, you will be happy with his role in this sequel!
JACK JACK
I can’t give away too much here. Just know that Jack Jack is hilarious in this movie and that you and your family will be nearly in tears laughing at his antics. I am 100% sure that you need to see this movie just to watch Jack Jack come into his own and to see what his super power will be!
Incredibles 2 opens everywhere June 15th and you really need to get your tickets and make a plan to see it before everyone starts spoiling the movie for you. Everywhere we have gone this week, people have been talking about the movie and I have been asked for the nitty gritty. I am not budging, go see it for yourself, you need this laugh, this family and this movie in your life! 13 years was worth the wait!
