Last Wednesday my family was honored to attend the special prescreening of Zootopia that opens officially to the public this Friday March 4th! We truly enjoyed our time and the movie was one that we cannot stop talking about. I figure I would put together a quick list of 5 reasons to see Zootopia this weekend!
Reason 1: It is a great way to spend time with friends. We were able to meet up with our friends from Building our Story and watch our kids giggle and laugh and make jokes the entire time. Best part was that other parents were there with us so no one cared that the kids were loud.
Reason 2: The storyline is mYsTeRiOuS! This action packed, funny little movie has some twists and turns and the ending is phenomenal. In fact, when the final scene happened our little princess got the joke a little too late and laughed out loud, which in turn caused the entire theater to crack up again. So much fun!
Reason 3: Adults will enjoy it too! I sort of figured this would be the typical Disney movie about animals. I was envisioning a new Bambi but in the city. I was wrong. My husband was so into the movie that I could not hardly get him to pay attention to the fact that our daughter needed to use the restroom. It was fantastic and he kept telling me that he enjoyed the heck out of it!
Reason 4: It is in 3D! I have to admit that I do not like 3D movies at all. They typically make me nauseous and give me a headache. They are just too much. This movie however, was hardly one of those overly 3D animated movies that made it difficult to focus. It was just the right amount of 3D animation where you could really put yourself in the movie without feeling overwhelmed. You could even watch the movie without the glasses and it didn’t look crazy.
Reason 5: Lt. Judy Hopps & Nick Wilde. Pictured below, these two characters steal the show and give the audience a quality hustle. An unlikely pairing of animals end up winning your hearts and making you laugh the entire time. You are going to love these two.
Zootopia was really great. As we were leaving the theater, there were people asking us what we thought about it. I said that it was action packed and funny. There was a couple moments that had the kids a little scared but they only lasted a couple seconds and are critical to the movie. We truly enjoyed our experience and cannot wait for the video release already.
