Quick & Easy Kaleidoscope Classroom Halloween Treat

Sharing is caring!

Vacation killed my mojo.  Ok, just kidding, however, it did put me in relaxation mode, which meant that I completely forgot to put together a classroom treat for my kids’ school parties today…until 11PM last night.  Yup, I am the last minute halloween treat mom.  If you are trying to put something together before class parties this afternoon, these kaleidoscope treats are perfect and the bonus is that you can find them all over the place!

Kaleidoscope trinket toys are a party story staple.  Our party aisles have them always and they do not have to be Halloween themed to make this work!  Just grab a couple packs, head home, download my printable and get to work!  You can have this complete in about 10 minutes!

First, download the printable above here.  It comes on a sheet of eight and they fit perfectly in those snack size plastic bags.  Next, print them out.  I used my HP Envy all in one printer that I received as part of the HP SmartMoms Panel.  I use this printer all the time, I love how vibrant the colors are, that it comes with instant ink and that I can print, scan, copy and even fax with ease.  This printer is life.

Then you need to cut the printables apart.  It took me about 3 minutes to cut 32 apart by hand.  It would have went quicker had my blade on my paper cutter been sharper.  For a bit more strength to the printable, you can also print them on card stock.  I did mine on regular printer paper though and they worked great!

Once you have them cut apart, place a kaleidoscope and a printable in a snack size sandwich bag and seal it!  It took me around 5 minutes to stuff all 32 bags with both items and seal them.  I did squish the air out of them as well to keep the kaleidoscope and printable in place.

My son was really excited to share this fun little treats with his class.  I had to explain the play on words and then he laughed a ton!  He told me that all his friends will definitely be “scoping out the candy” tonight and that he was so excited for the day.

This mama has a little bit of guilt because I wont be able to make either of my kiddos parties.  After being gone a week, there is just no way that I can justify taking another day away from my classroom and thankfully my kids understand.  I just hope that they remember to pass out these little treats and that my last minute idea is a hit!
