Disney Junior just released an awesome compilation of shows featuring our beloved Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck and to celebrate we made this super simple clip in hair bow.
Disclosure: I was provided a free copy of the movie to review. All opinions are my own.
Minnie Bow Be Mine
My daughter is a die hard Minnie Mouse fan. She cried when we met Minnie at Disneyland a few years ago and will stop what she is doing just to catch her on TV. So when I found out that Disney Junior was releasing a awesome combination of show clips from Mickey and the Roadster Racers featuring Minnie and Daisy, I had to get my hands on a copy!
Minnie and Daisy take center stage in Minnies Bow Be Mine as they tackle tough tasks and help out friends in need. From judging surfing contests, to solving mysteries and even jamming out on stage at the Hot Dog Hills Stadium, this video is chocked full of adventures your Disney Junior fans will love. There is also two bonus music videos that your little ones will love singing and dancing along too.
Bow Time
Look, my daughter has barely lived a day without a bow in her hair. I have a minor obsession and each night after we pick out her clothes we match our bow to them. When Minnie Bow Be Mine arrived on our doorstep, she told me she needed a bow to match. You guys, I have several different Disney Bows and can you believe that I did NOT have a pink one.
Off to the craft store we went to grab a few necessities and a new little trinket to make bow making quick and easy. I found the Bowdabra mini and figured it would be a great time to try it out. I also grabbed some clips and of course that Minnie Mouse ribbon in PINK!
The Bowdabra was pretty easy to use. Simply cut a ribbon and lay it lengthwise in the bowdabra and then begin layering another section of ribbon width wise. Once you have your desired look, take the ribbon that is lengthwise and tie it in a knot to hold the bow together.
Then you just need to trim the ends and if you want to keep the bow from fraying, use a lighter to gentle seal the edges. I like to cut mine into a little “v” shape. Finally, just take a clip and you can either push it through the knot as you see below, or you can hot glue it on. I did the push through this time to see how well it would stay.
Viola! The bow is done and I have one happy girl who has been sporting it ever since. She has also been playing Minnie Bow Be Mine on repeat for 3 days and is singing along with those bonus features like someone in a fairytale.
Our Opinions of Minnie Bow Be Mine
My daughter loves it. There was never any doubt there. She likes that all the episodes feature Minnie and Daisy and that there are songs that she knows. I also love it, but for different reasons.
I have always felt like Mickey and the Roadster Racers took Minnie and Daisy from sweet damsels that sometimes helped out the boys, to ladies with a mission to be helpful and successful. This featurette is great and I love that these two strong Disney characters are being highlighted in a way that shows love, grace and humility.
