Can’t Miss Experiences at Gaylord Rockies
We have visited Gaylord Rockies many times. This is our 3rd summer staycation and each time we try a few new things but also make sure we hit up our can’t miss experiences at Gaylord Rockies.
Arapahoe Springs Cabana Experience
Last year we booked a fantastic cabanas and had the best time, so this year it was a no brainer. Providing a bit of privacy, shade and some great seating either poolside or by the lazy river, these cabanas come with a bucket of spirits, great views and food and beverage service.
Gaylord Rockies recently updated the cabanas with new privacy walls and furniture which we liked even more than last year. It made for a fantastic shady space and we loved that we could order food and drinks right to the cabana.
Swimming at Arapahoe Springs
Arapahoe Springs is a massive water park area. Featuring both indoor and outdoor pool options, it is easy to spend an entire day lounging, playing and enjoying. Our kids spent hours on the waterslides, in the various pools and lazing around in the tubes of the lazy river.
The lifeguards are very attentive and the pools are spacious and the perfect temperature. We particularly love the lazy river which boasts a waterfall, some water spouts and a great time for everyone. My best friend even joined in on the fun!
Delicious Food
Gaylord Rockies has several on site dining options. You can do sit down dining at the various restaurants, grab drinks throughout the entire resort or even have food delivered right to you poolside. The food is delicious and something we look forward to.
This year we didn’t eat at the resort as much as we normally do. We got there a bit later and had already had dinner, but we did partake in some ice cream, chips and salsa and donuts before enjoying a scrumptious lunch at the cabana. My kids LOVE their cheeseburgers and I went with this really incredible wrap.
Summer of More
Although our time was a bit limited this time, we were still able to fit in a few of the Gaylord Rockies Summer of More experiences. From the Shiny Stash scavenger hunt, to painting at the pirate and princess art studio and s’mores we truly had a great time.
There is SO much to experience at Gaylord Rockies during the summer and it can be difficult to choose between the awesome activities. I think next year we want to try the escape room and the animal encounters for sure.
