A couple weeks ago we spent the weekend participating in Toyota’s Season of Giving and cruising around in the 2019 Toyota Prius. Check out all the details below.

Toyota’s Season of Giving
My parents were just 19 and 21 when I was born. They lived in a tiny rented house on a country road. They worked really hard to provide myself and my sister with the basics, however, we were definitely poor. I wore hand-me-downs, my toys were not new, my mom made delicious inventive meals but the food often came from a churches food pantry.
We were fortunate, we had a community of people and although those years where we needed assistance were short, they were impactful. I have always given back when we had the means to. I know how it feels to be on the receiving end and that inspires me to make sure that we are giving back to those in need as well.
Toyota invited my family and I to help with their amazing Season of Giving and it took zero time to think about my response. Of course we would be participating and giving back to our local communities.
The kids and I set off to the store to purchase some donations to bring to the community event and really felt fortunate that we were able to do so. It made a big impact on the kids to pick out food for other families.
We packed up our Toyota Prius with all the donations and headed towards Downtown Denver to meet up with some of our other blogging friends and the amazing Denver Dream Center! While there, we helped pack up donations and food to take to two locations.
After we finished packing everything up we headed to each location to set up the food donations, clothing, toys and more! The kids were incredible helpers through all of it and we were beaming with pride as they helped people shop.
Toyota’s Season of Giving was very impactful for everyone. Both events were full of community, smiles and so much more that words cannot explain. We are so thankful for this opportunity and look forward to working on more events with them!
The 2019 Toyota Prius Hybrid
We were able to spend a week in the 2019 Toyota Prius to help with delivering food and items. Toyota is one of our go to brands and we love to work with them, to test drive their new vehicles and to show off some of the features that they have.
The 2019 Toyota Prius Hybrid is a sleek looking hatchback. With those fantastic bright LED lights, heated mirrors and that blue paint color that makes a statement on the road!
Some of the fun features that the 2019 Prius Hybrid has the awesome heads up display and of course the incredible Toyota Safety Sense bundle of safety features, and some fun lighting features.
We also loved that when we would drive the Prius that we would get a score on our ability to get the best gas mileage and we could monitor the battery and gas usage simply from the dash. My husband and I would have competitions as to who could get the best driving score…he won.
The Prius was a fun little car to drive and although it is a compact car, it did not feel that small inside. I was surprised at how comfortable and roomy the Prius felt. We have had 2 Corollas and the Prius definitely felt roomier inside.
