Is the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Cost Worth It?

Sharing is caring!

Last fall we embarked on the awesome Halloween on the High Seas Disney Cruise! We wanted to make sure that our kids experienced as much as they could on the ship and really take advantage of experiences that we have not had time to do when we are in the parks.  The biggest question I get asked when I tell them about all our adventures is if the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is worth it?

Is the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Worth It?

Our experience on the Disney Wonder was phenomenal.  There was so much to do that even on our most efficient days, we were not about to get it all done.  Similar to the Disney parks, you have to have your must do items and then let the rest fall into place.  Our must do items included the Princesses and Frozen meet and greets, the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and a day at the beach in Cabo.  Please be aware that when bookings open, you need to get online immediately and book these experiences.  Tickets and times run out quickly.

You have to excuse the lighting on these photos.  The first thing we noticed after we found the boutique (at the very top of the ship), was that the lighting was an incredible shade of pink and no amount of color balancing was going to combat this.  When my son walked in, he saw the pink and told me that he was not going to get his nails painted or wear a dress.  We laughed and the awesome cast members brought him out a knights shirt with attachable cape.  It took a few minutes for him to consider if he would have a little makeover, but he decided to and we were off!

The boys BBB experience is slightly different from the girls.  There is only one outfit to choose from (although it is an extra charge) and they do a few different hairstyle options, there is obviously no make up and it is done is about 1/2 the time.  My son chose spiky hair, but there were plenty of mow-hawks and some incredible Mickey Mouse confetti creations that he saw later and wanted to have done too!

Knights Package

Once the make over is done, the boys are handed a Sleeping Beauty foam sword and shield and with that, our son was immediately glad that he decided to jump in the chair for a little hair spike and magic!

Knights Packages from Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique

The Royal Knight boys package in the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutiquee Cost $19.95.  That includes the hairstyle and sword/shield.  If you would like to purchase the shirt with the cape it is an additional $34.99.  The experience was very positive for our son and he told us that he would do it again.  For the $19.95 it was worth it.  The shirt was a little expensive in my opinion, but since our daughter had a dress, he wanted a shirt and we were on vacation so all bets were off.

Hair style at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique

We chose the cheapest package for the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique experience for our daughter.  The crown package at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Cost $64.95 and includes a hairstyle, a face gem, nail polish, make up, a princess sash and a cinch bag.  Extra charges are for the dresses that are throughout the entire boutique.  We had a beautiful new Snow White dress from Great Pretenders that was tea length and perfect, so we decided to bring that along.  We noticed a lot of other parents did the same.

There was no hesitation for our daughter when we walked into the boutique.  She was so excited and immediately got into the chair and listened so intently to everything her awesome cast member said.  It was the most focus I think I have ever seen from her.

Getting Nails done on Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique

They started with the hairstyle.  She chose the fairytale princess style which is just a bun with a crown and a jewel along with some magical glitter.  Then it was onto the nails.  This girl LOVES to have her nails painted and although the picture does not show the smile, she was talking all day about how pretty her nails were!

Once they are finished, the give the little girls a Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique pink cinch bag with all the extras from their makeover (make up, jewels, nail polish) and a princess sash to wear.  They also do not have to return the crown or hair accessories or anything else.  When they turned our daughter around she was so happy with how much of a princess she was.  Her experience was definitely a 10 out of 10 in her opinion.

Was the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique Worth It?

Kids on Disney Cruise

Absolutely!  We did the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique on the 2nd day of the cruise and they talked about it the entire time after. The Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique cost was completely worth it!  They loved all the accessories that they got from the experience and STILL play with them and ask for me to help them with their hair almost a year later.  I think the prices are very reasonable for Disney and that the memories are priceless.  We will definitely do it again on our next Disney adventure!
