A couple weekends ago, our sweet boy turned 7! In true birthday style, we celebrated with fun themed LEGO Batman Birthday Party! Check out some photos and tips for a successful LEGO Batman Birthday Party.
2. Pull Apart Cakes and individual serving ice cream: For several years we had the traditional cake that you cut and hand out on plates. Life changer in feeding mass amounts of people cake and ice cream. It is easy to hand out the cake and ice cream and not have to use extra plates. Also Target has the best cakes ever and always does a phenomenal job creating cake that goes right along with our theme.
3. Simple Goodie Bags: This is always a touchy subject among parents. They either always provide them and just buy whatever the local party stores have or they do not. For me I like to approach them a bit differently. First, I always pick a few small items that wont break the bank and are useful and or edible.
For the LEGO Batman goodie bags, I ordered a few items from Oriental Trading that I knew the kids would like. The rubber bracelets, a pencil and the brick sucker were big hits and all the guests were happy with them. I also ordered some little flashlights off Amazon and put a Batman logo on them using my silhouette.
4. Party Decorations: It never fails, I probably go a little overboard when trying to create a beautiful party scene. I like to have levels and create excitement for the kiddos who are attending. I love that I can find nearly all of my party decor on Oriental Trading’s Website for a great deal and often with free shipping. When you go all out like I do, it is important to look for those great deals.
I like to designate a specific space for the party to happen. When you are at a place that specializes in entertainment, often they give you a couple tables or a room. I will go check the place out and see what I might need to design the party space and then plan it out at home so that set up goes quickly. I like setting the tables so that it is easy to hand out food and what I really liked is that this year I put the goodie bags out at the beginning of the party and the partygoers LOVED that.
I also think that adding your own personal decorative touches to the party really is a great way for people to feel special and excited. For the LEGO Batman party, I made these centerpieces with some foam balls, napkins, wooden dowels, hot glue and some printouts. They added a great dimension to the table and were out of the normal for what you would see if you only used the party supplies.
5. Dress Up your Birthday Kid: The party is about celebrating your child, so dress them up in something a little more special. This shirt was a great find with all the LEGO Batman characters on it and my son just loved it.
The LEGO Batman party was a huge hit. We are so thankful to everyone that came and celebrated with us. I hope you got some great ideas from this and that you too can pull off a successful party too! Make sure to grab your party decor and goodie bag items from Oriental Trading soon. I know this theme is going to be big this year with kids!
